General

When booking a consultation with Little People Eat, the Client agrees to these Terms of Service.
“Little People Eat” is the trading name of Little People Eat Limited.  In these Terms of Service ‘I’, ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’ and ‘Dietitian’ refers to “Little People Eat”. 

Website

These terms of service constitute an agreement made between you, the Client/website user, and us.  You must not use this website unless you accept all the terms of service.  By accessing and using this website, you are agreeing that you have read, understood, and accepted these terms of service, and agree to be bound by them. You agree not to use this website for any purpose that is unlawful or to attempt to alter or reproduce graphics, layout, software, or content, or damage the content by way of virus, corrupted file, or use of any other software or programme without the written prior approval of Little People Eat. 

Your use of this website and any associated services may at times be subject to interruptions or delay.  Due to the nature of the internet, Little People Eat does not make any warranty that this website or associated services will be free from defects in design, interruption, or delay. We will not be liable to you should this website or services supplied by Little People Eat become unavailable, disrupted, or delayed for any reason.

Although we endeavour to prevent the introduction of viruses or other malicious code to this website via SSL security, we do not guarantee or warrant that this website or any materials from it, does not contain viruses or malicious code.  You are responsible for ensuring that the process you employ for accessing this website does not expose your computer to the risk of interference or damage from viruses or malicious code.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Booking

  • By booking an appointment with Little People Eat you acknowledge you are providing Little People Eat with your personal information. This is held within an encrypted cloud-based patient management system which only employees of Little People Eat can access.
  • You consent to receiving information from us electronically and you agree that at agreements, notices, disclosures, and other information we provide you electronically satisfy any legal requirements that such communications be in writing.
  • The questionnaire sent to the Client when booking an appointment must be returned at least 48 hours in advance of the appointment.   
  • The Client will disclose any medical conditions that their child has to Little People Eat.
  • For Clients referred by a Doctor or other Health Professional, Little People Eat will write a reply letter outlining the appointment and nutritional plan. For self-referred Clients, Little People Eat may opt to send a GP letter. Clients will also receive an electronic copy of the Doctor letter. Clients may request other recipients also receive this correspondence.
  • The Client will not disclose any of the information they receive from Little People Eat to a third party, without Little People Eat’s prior permission.
  • In order to operate as a close contact business, Ministry of Health requires all clinic attendees over the age of 12 not in possession of an Exemption to be double vaccinated against Covid 19, with vaccine passports able to be sited. Little People Eat is double vaccinated and Boosted against Covid 19. A phone or video consultation is an alternative option to an in-person consultation. Please contact Little People Eat for any questions or clarification around this.

 

Payment

When an online booking calendar is used, full payment is required on booking your consultation. Your consultation is confirmed once payment is made.  Credit card payments incur a 3% transaction fee.  For appointments made over the phone or by email, an invoice will be sent following the consultation and payment is due within two working days.

Cancellation

  • Your appointment is confirmed once payment has been made.
  • In the event of illness in either Client or Dietitian, Little People Eat reserves the right to transfer in-person clinic appointments to either a video or telephone consultation according to Client preference.
  • Cancellations made 7 days or more prior to the appointment will receive a full refund.  Cancellations made 24 hours-6 days prior to the appointment will receive a 50% refund. There is no refund for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of a booked appointment. 
  • Any outstanding debt to Little People Eat will be referred to debt collection agencies.

 

Other

  • Little People Eat adheres to and follows all WHO breastfeeding guidelines.

  • Provision of prescribed infant formulae is at the discretion of Little People Eat and is based upon nutritional assessment and evidenced-based guidelines for use.   Access to prescribed formulae follows a Ministry of Health algorithm and prescription applications by Little People Eat are auditable. 
  • Little People Eat does not offer any medical advice, services or treatment to any Client.  If you have concerns relating to a medical issue we urge you to contact your GP or paediatrician.
  • Little People Eat is fully covered by professional indemnity insurance.

 

Disclaimer

Changes to your child’s diet that may be suggested by Little People Eat are at your discretion to implement.   

The information provided on this website or by Little People Eat is not intended nor is implied to be a substitute for medical advice.  The Client must always seek the advice of a GP or other qualified health care provider with any questions regarding a medical condition or otherwise the health and welfare of their child.

Little People Eat will use all reasonable efforts to include evidenced-based and accurate information during consultations and on this website, but makes no representations, warranties or completeness for the information provided. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we provide this website and related information and services on an ‘as-is’ basis without any warranties, representations, or guarantees of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or other.

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Privacy Policy

We use a secure, encrypted cloud-based patient management system and video consultation platform with the express intention that your data can only be seen and used by Little People Eat.   Hence, Little People Eat takes reasonable precautions to keep your personal information secure from misuse and loss from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.  However, you acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the security of any online accounts you have with us and the security of your computer, mobile phone, tablet, or other device. You acknowledge that the internet is inherently insecure. In sharing your personal information with us, you accept the risk that any information stored or transmitted on the internet or through email or any other digital channel may be intercepted or subject to unauthorised access or fraudulent behaviour by any other party. We do not accept any responsibility or liability of any nature for any losses that you may sustain because of such unauthorised access or action.  All information transmitted to you and by you is transmitted at your risk, and you assume all responsibility and risks arising in relation to your use of this website and the internet. We do not accept any responsibility for any interference or damage to your own computer system which may arise in connection with your access of this website or any outbound link.

We do not sell your information to any third party.  For self-referred children, Little People Eat sends a summary of recommendations to your email.  For children referred by other health professionals, Little People Eat sends a reply letter summarising the consultation, and also emails a copy to you. 

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you’d like to ask for a copy of your information, or to have it corrected, please contact us at office@littlepeopleeat.co.nz.  As per the Health (Retention of Health Information) regulations 1996, we must retain Client information for 10 years from the time we last provided services to that Client, unless we are specifically requested to hand that record on to another health provider.
