Consulting a Registered Dietitian specialising in paediatrics can focus attention on what is relevant to your individual child, thereby ignoring the \u2018noise\u2019.\u00a0 Furthermore, Dietitians are skilled at interpreting scientific research and can differentiate between high- and low-quality evidence so that you receive the best evidenced-based advice. Where there is no published or high quality evidence, we can advise on currently accepted best practice.<\/p><p>My approach is to work alongside you as a parent in identifying what are the must-do\u2019s for your child\u2019s nutritional health within your wider family setting, and what are the lower priorities or issues that are more flexible to address over time.\u00a0 These decisions are made together in a holistic way, that acknowledge where you\u2019re currently at, and align with your parenting style and aims.<\/p><p>My next post is going to discuss starting solids.
